How To Stop Constant Discharge Of Mucous From The Eyes After Some Object Fell Into It?

over a week ago I got a piece of metal in my eye. It scratched up the eyeball real good. I went to a doctor and had it removed and she prescribed some medication. After a few days it seemed to clear up. Then over the weekend I got something else in the same eye(wood) I was able to get that out after a while but my eye is really bothering me again. It is constantly discharging mucus. It seems to get better after I put some of that medication on.It calls for it every 6 hours but within a few hours it really starts acting up again.

HELLO
It seems from the history that some foreign body has fell into the eyes following which you are having discharge from the eye.
It is probably because of infection of the conjunctiva called as conjunctivitis. The treatment is by using appropriate antibiotic eye drops. However presence of foreign body has to be ruled out and if it is there it has to be removed.

Hence I advice you to consult your eye doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
