How To Stop Dryness In Mouth After Diprofos Injection For Sinus Infection?

hi my husband was overseas and had a very bad sinus infection and was in very unwell. However the doctor overseas prescribed an injection call Diprofos. He was given it back in 9/1/2010 and if helped him immediately with sinuses unbolking and drying. He felt fantastic with only one injection. However since then is home in australia and feeling the same symptons over and over . But the one thing he has had is a very dry mouth/lips since the injection back then till today. The question is can you tell me if the dryness is from the one injection he had and is there anything he can do to stop it. Secondly are these injections available in australia thanking you for your time teresa

hello, thanks for your query, diprofos is a steroid ( betamethasone) is used in allergic sinusitis. it will not cause dryness of mouth for years. plz evaluate for salivary gland disease like Sjögren's syndrome for dryness. kindly visit an ent surgeon for farther evaluation and treatment. all the best. take care.
