Hi, There are several causes for uncontrolled bleeding after delivery and most common are some retained products like pieces of placenta or membranes, hormonal imbalances and anemia. Hope your doctor has excluded retained products as the cause through sonogram; also bleeding profile should be assessed as such prolonged bleeding can lead to abnormal timings. If no reason is found and if you are not responding to hormones and nutritional supplements and correction of anemia, you may have to consider endometrial ablation. Please consult your doctor for an opinion. Hope this helps.
