How To Stop Prolonged Menstrual Bleeding?

I have been having menstrual flow for the past 13 days. First I thought it is due to side effects tablet zyloric so I stopped it n started tablet pause 500mg for 3 days thrice daily. But the flow has not stopped.There is pain in the left lower abdomen. I have insert copper t 5years ago. Kindly advice

Hi,

Heavy menstrual bleeding may not be reduced with pause tablet alone. Hormonal pills may be required to control and normalize your cycles. The cause of heavy bleeding should be identified. Pelvic ultrasound, thyroid function test and complete blood count should be taken to identify any cause of hormonal imbalance.
