How To Stop Smoking?

I am 61 yrs old overweight and smoke. I want to try nicotine patches and vapor cigs without nicotine. I would like to use a small dose of the patch but I cannot find the doses that are available. Reason for small dose of nicotine: I still work and usually I will smoke 7 cigarettes before going to work. Then I go to lunch smoke 2 cigarettes. Later I will leave around 5 hours later. I have noticed also that while at work I believe that I am craving cigarettes and I will tend to eat a lot of snacks to cover my nicotine cravings and am gaining weight. I also get sleepy which I don't know if that is a part of craving. I am going to see if my cravings and food stop with this method. Do you have any suggestions on how else I can accomplish my cravings for nicotine.
