How To Stop The Bleeding In The Scrotum?

I popped what I thought was a small blood blister on my scrotum but as it turns out it was on one of my veins on my scrotum and I can t get the bleeding stopped its just a small hole but it will not stop bleeding I have applied ice and pressure and still cannot get it to stop bleeding. I am on blood thinners. How can I get it to stop without going to the ER. Also what would the ER do differently than I can do?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Profuse bleeding from blood filled blister on scrotum with a history of blood thinners needs to be investigated.
Excessive bleeding with blood thinners can occur and this require review of dose of blood thinner.
Monitoring of blood thinners is done with INR.
The INR is a parameter which needs to be kept between 2-3 in patients on blood thinners.
Secondily, the cause of blood filled blister on scrotum needs to be found out.
Varicose veins are responsible for formation of blood filled veins on scrotum.
They can bleed with minor trauma.
Under normal circumstances, bleeding from veins of scrotum is not possible.
Thus, you need to consult an urologist for clinical assessment and thus management.

Thanks and take care
