How To Stop Using Pan Parag? Used To Drink And Smoke Earlier
Hai Dr. Sudhir, I am Jaichandran. In the college days I have been using alcohol and smoking , and now, I have discontinued both. Actually to leave the smoking habbit I choose tobacco flakes, called pan parag, now I am unable to withdraw it. Please guide me through this. This habbit has been there for the past year or two. Actually after quitting from smoking I did not use any tobacco products for at least two years. suddenly i got this habbit. With regards G. Jaichandran
Parag is also like any other tobacco product. Contains nicotine which is substance known to be addictive. Comes under the category of drug abuse and addiction.
Any drug abuse can only be stopped by might or mind power. Body relapse is very much less comparing to mental relapse. I had seen people stopping substances like hashish etc just with the help of mental might. Will it, wish it and stop it. Reduction will not work. Only brupt stopping and continuance will work.
Consult a psychologist for further advice. I can help you if you desire so. Get well soon.
