The seriousness of this situation depends on the childs age and how long this vomiting and diarrhea goes on. You do not want your daughter to become dehydrated. Sometimes defizzed ginger ale will settle a sick stomach or some ginger tea made with real ginger root. Keep trying to encourage sips of fluid, but this is something that should not continue past 24 hours (again depending on age). Call your doctor if this has not stopped within the end of the day. No food. Only clear liquid until she is better.
