General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
You need to confirm pregnancy before taking medicines for termination of pregnancy. At this stage. Home pregnancy test after 8 days over due period (done with uncontaminated urine sample) will diagnose. You need to wait only for 3 more days. In case it's positive, you will have to go for medical abortion. The medications are to be given after excluding ectopic pregnancy under a gynecologist's advice only.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
