Dr. Hanif warmly welcomes you!

Thanks for consulting at my virtual clinic HCM. I have carefully worked through your case, and can well realize your health worries. Being your physician, I want to assure, I will take care all of your medical concerns.

Abortion especially the medical abortion works good before 8 weeks of gestation. Although it may do work but may have serious complications too like excessive bleeding. It should be avoided without the supervision of the OB/GYN physician.

First of all the OB/GYN will make sure the your wife is pregnant and she will do an ultrasound to evaluate the age of the fetus. Sometimes the dates described by the patient doesn't match when done an ultrasound. So ultrasound is the gold standard.

OB/GYN will decide how to proceed. She may decide if there is a need for Dilatation and Curettage (D & C) or medications are enough. There is always a risk with medicine usage so it should be in the notice of an expert OB/GYN as she is the personnel to treat such cases with success after in-person evaluation.
