How To Test For Bruised Ribs While Having Pain After Injury?
my daughter was riding her bike yesterday & was hit in the rear tire by a car. The only visible injury is a scrape on her outer thigh. however, today she is complaining of pain along her rib area on the side she landed on. what are the symptoms of bruised ribs?
Hi, I do care for your concern. In trauma to lateral side ribs are the most frequent bone to get fractured. If there is a fracture to rib bone then, the injury site will be reddened, swelling may be present, it if very painful to touch. the sudden sharp pain increases during breathing. In most of cases the fractured rib is left alone to heal with. If the pain does not increase then consult your physician to get pain killers, or to get intervention, if needed. Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
