General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for writing to HCM.
As you have mentioned that you are diagnosed with PCOS, you need to follow the things listed below to improve your health status.
1. Weight reduction through a low-calorie diet combined with moderate exercise activities - losing 5% of your body weight might improve your condition.
2. Regular menstrual cycles - consult your doctor to administer pills that contain both estrogen and progestin, especially birth control pills will do.
3. Chance for proper ovulation - Usually administration of drugs like clomiphene with addition of metformin helps to induce ovulation.
4. Reduce excessive hair growth - can be taken care by birth control pills alone or with addition of another drug Aldactone.
Kindly consult Obstretician and Gynecologist in this regard and administer proper treatment suitable for you under proper supervision.
Hope the information provided will be useful for your good health.
All the best.
