How To Treat A 3cm Cyst Below Knee?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here... I'm having a cyst removed from my leg, it's under the skin and about two inches below my
knee but more near the muscle than the bone, my doctor said he could remove it hisself at the normal surgery, how would he do this and how much pain will it cause afterwards, it's about 3cm round?
