How To Treat A Bump Under The Lip That Has Swollen Extremely After Squeezing?

I have a pretty good sized bump under the skin just below my lower lip. I thought it may be a pimple but now I'm not so sure as I've been doing some research on line. I did try and squeeze it but that was not productive at and it left my lip and area around it extremely swollen. It stayed swollen all night and even when I woke the next morning. Just wondering what this may be and how to treat it asap. Also, I have applied some neosporin to it. Will that help any?

Hi. Thanks for posting your concern at HCM

I would keep a possibility of either a furuncle OR nodular acne which may have been pushed deeper after squeezing.

In such a case i would have prescribed an oral antibiotic for a week along with topical antibacterial gel e.g 1% nadifloxacin gel twice daily.

An OTC pain killer e.g ibuprofen will help in relieving the pain and discomfort associated with it.

take care
regards
