How To Treat A Draining Abscess On Elbow?

hi my mom has this abscess on her elbow it has already been drained but after she got back from the hospital she has now been milking it and all of a sudden waxy disks with a blood cell in the middle of it are coming shooting out. wat is there to do is this normal is the elbow starting to get infected never seen waxy disks come shooting out an elbow with blood spots on it.

Hi.
As per your case history of abscess on elbow, my treatment advice is -
1. Don't squeeze the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it.
3. Take a NSAID like ibuprofen for pain and swelling.
4. Take an antibiotic like levofloxacin 250mg twice daily for 7-10 days.
5. Other treatment options are oral doxycyline, rifampicin and cefadroxil taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
