How To Treat A Large Cut On The Shin Caused Due To Injury?
I had a motorcycle accident 3 weeks ago and I have a large cut on my shin, at first it started to heal really well bit it seems to be getting worse since the nurse added iodine to the gauze under my dressing. There is no sign of tracking or aallergy, what could be causing this please

Avoid iodine on healing wounds as it may destroy the granulation tissue. You can clean with saline and apply antibacterial ointments like Mupirocin. Keep the wound aerated.
