How To Treat A Lump On The Pubic Mound?

I have a small hard lump on the right side of my mons pubis. It has been there for a little over a week and was bigger when it rather suddenly appeared. It is only slightly tender and uncomfortable when pressed. I am worried about what this may be since it has yet to go away. Any ideas?

Hi.
From your history this may be an inguinal hernia or a boil.
If this is hernia, it will be expansible - meaning increases on coughing and straining and reducible meaning can be Manually reduced.
IF boil, it will remain same irrespective of a coughing or pressing.
The treatment for a hernia is herniotomy and if boil or so , trial with an antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicines for 5 days will be sufficient.
