hello I have a painful lump by the front of my ear lobe it is very tender its starting to spread behind my ear not the lump but the swelling i do not want to lay on that side or even touch that side of my face i have an appt on Tuesday with my pcp should wait or go to the ER

Painful lump in front of ear can be a lymph node enlargement or a parotid infection and you will need antibiotics for both these infections , please dont delay otherwise the infection may spread , meet your doctor as soon as possible.
