How To Treat A Puss Filled Lump That Seems To Be A Cyst?

hello!! i have had a lump under my arm for a couple of years and the doctors tell me its a cyst. A pimple like cyst that will eventually go away on its own. It never did, a week ago it was huge and getting bigger everyday. Last night it popped (one side of it) and blood and this blackish-brown solid substance came out. This morning more of the black stuff came out along with some yellow puss. There is still quite a bit left because i can feel it under my skin. Should i go see a doctor or keep trying to get it out myself? Thank you!!

Hi,

You seem to have sebaceous cyst. It is secondarily infected with bacteria. You immediately consult a dermatologist or surgeon. Initially,he might give antibiotics with anti inflammatory drugs. After clearance of infection, cyst may be removed under local anaesthesia. It is a simple OPD procedure. You may be alright after minor surgery. I hope you got my answer.

Thanks.
