How To Treat Acne Effectively?

I have oily skin problem .Since last 9 years i am suffering from acne problem.Sometimes more and sometimes less.I have consulted hell lot of doctors.if i take the medicines apply cream it goes and again after stopping it comes. Presently i m using Dermadew acne soap daily 3 times .. and night i put Retino A on my acne (if it is there).While going out i use Lactocalamine Lotion.I have very fair screen so few acne big holes are also there.Plz suggest me

Hello dear,

Acne is caused due to a combination of 4 factors:
1. Increased production of sebum from sebaceous glands in the skin
2. Increase proliferation of cells & blockage of these glands
3. Inflammation.
4. Bacterial infection.

The treatment depends on the severity.
Usually we recommend a combination of treatment with topical retinoids at night and application of benzoyl peroxide gel on the pimples in the morning.
If the severity is more, antibiotics like Clindamycin or Doxycycline are recommended.

Also avoid oily foods, drink lots of water & clean your face with an oil free cleanser three times a day for reduction of acne.
