Hello,

Adenomyosis is when the tissue that usually causes your periods gets stuck in the wall of the uterus.
This causes pain when having your periods.
Treatment usually depends on your symptoms. If mild, NSAIDs (pain killers) can control the pain. If severe, hormonal therapy can reduce the intensity of the pain and the volume of blood loss during the periods.
However, surgical options are available if all of these do not work.

All the best.
