How To Treat An Ear Problem That Leads To Disturbance In Listing?

I have distortion from a loud noise trauma in my left ear. When someone speaks there is a scratchiness added to their voice, like a broken speaker adds to a musical sound. My ear doctor says there is no cure, is this true? Or should I seek out a specialist of some kind?

Before i could answer that i would like to know if any tests were done on you and if yes , what were the reports ? also are you a a smoker? diabetic? or on any other drugs?
