How To Treat An Eye Infection In My 9 Month Old Daughter's Eye?
my 9 month daughter has an eye infection in her left eye. On Sat she started off with a white/clear bump on the edge of her retina and part of her sclera towards the inner part of her eye near tear ducts. By Monday there was redness along with the white/clear bump. Today Friday it look pinkish with clear white bump still. She has no pus or discharge and rubbing eyes. Took her to doctor on Wed and we are waiting for a referral to eye doctor. In the mean time we have been applying erythomicin to eye 3 times a day. It doesnt seem to be looking better.
It appears to be dacrocystitis. Clean the eye with sterile swab. Now apply neosporine ophthalmic ointment Child should improve or show her to eye doctor.
