Hi Doctor, I have experienced bleeding for the last 2 weeks during an intercourse with my boyfriend. At first, i thought it was only my next period but since I had my last period on June 15, I wondered why I experience bleeding again last 29. May I know what is happening? Thank you and God Bless.
Bleeding following intercourse has to be taken rather seriously. Moreover, for last few weeks, it has become a practice for you.
Post-coital bleeding is usually due to some lesion on the cervix, most commonly cancer of the cervix. Even bad erosion due to bad chronic infection of the cervix also may cause such bleeding. Your age also plays a role in type of the cervical lesion.
Please report to your Gynaecologist ASAP and get examined internally. If any lesion is noted on the cervix, it may need biopsy for histopathology examination. Further treatment will depend upon the type of cervical lesion.
I hope this helps you.
