Hi.
I've gone through your query and I can understand your anxiety.

Usually following  hormonal IUD insertion people might experience symptoms like cramping, on & off bleeding /spotting, abdominal pain, headache, back pain etc. These symptoms will settle within 6months.

For excess bleeding even after removal,
- consult your gynaecologist for a USG pelvis in order to find out any pathology
-  Also can take a course of ( DMPA) depot medroxyprogesterone acetate or cyclic Progestins & oral estrogens as per your doctor guidance, till the spotting stops.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care.

Regards,
Dr. Yogapriya V, General and family physician.
