How To Treat Bleeding Of Nose Due To An Injury?

My 2 yr. Old son threw a book at my 11 yr old sons head and his nose immediately started bleeding but only for maybe one minute. What could this mean? He says the book didn't hit his nose at all and he does have a little knot on his scalp above his right above his forehead.

Hello,
Thanks for your query.
If your child is not an infant, has not lost consciousness, and is alert and behaving normally after the blow:
Apply an ice pack or instant cold pack to the injured area for 20 minutes every 3 to 4 hours. If you use ice, always wrap it in a washcloth or sock; ice applied directly to bare skin can cause cold injury to the skin.
Observe your child carefully for the next 24 hours.
I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care
