How To Treat Blood Clot And Swelling In Cheeks Inspite Of Using Thrombophob?
Dr my baby girl is 8th month old before 10 days she got hurt on her cheeks and a blood clot. later I rubbed ice over it and applied thrombophob ointment after 12 hrs I have found a red patch on her cheeks nd swollen hard and she was into pain after three to 4 days it got reduced but the red stain on her cheeks is still there what

Understanding your concern. As per your query blood clot and swelling in cheeks inspite of using Thrombophob is mainly because of haematoma formation in that area. It will resolve on its own, need not to panic about it. In the meanwhile take painkiller for pain. Cold massage will also be helpful. I advise you to have a examination by your doctor, as pain should not persist for so longer time. You can use a steroid ointment on scratch marks after consulting your doctor. Use of antiseptic mouth wash or gargles to reduce the chance of any infection. Drink plenty of water and maintain oral hygiene. Don't let blood accumulate for longer duration as it will leads to infection.

As per your complain there is formation of a Hematoma following injury and application of ice and thrombophob ointment is the correct treatment and as the swelling has reduced it is a good sign..
The red patch/stain over her cheek is due to the blood that has spilled from the ruptured blood vessels following injury and it will gradually resolve when the blood will disintegrated and get cleared off from the soft tissues..
Continue applying Thrombophob gel as it contains Heparin Sodium and will help in faster fading of the redness.
Do alternate warm and cold compresses..
