How To Treat Bronchitis With Swollen Hands And Arm,consistent Foam From Mouth In A 94 Years Old Female With Vascular Dementia?
My mother is 94 and has had vascular dementia for 10 years. She has no mobility whatsoever. She had bronchitis 2 weeks ago and she was prescribed an antibiotic. she seemed to get a little better but not 100 percent. Today her right hand and arm are swollen. Her breathing is labored and she has a foam consistency coming out of her mouth. We are not sure what we should do
HI Thank for asking to HCM I appreciate your concern, if the foam is forming then this indicates the pulmonary edema, she may required bronco-dilator and diuretic if I would be her doctor then I would treat her with the following medicine, 1) Tab. Montelucast on tab three times in day 2) Tab. Furosemide 20 mg once in day I hope this drug will help her, take a good care of your mother, and have nice day.
