How To Treat Bruise And Pain In Little Toe Caused After Injury?

I m pretty sure that I broke my pinky toe on my right foot when I stubbed it last week. It was very bruised for about 4 or 5 days and now it is painful (This is to be expected I m sure) and very itchy. Sometimes it swells up and I have to untape it from the toe next to it. Is this normal?

Hello,

You have history of injury over that little toe. The pain and bruising could be due to fracture or some muscle or ligament strain. However you should rule out fracture by digital x ray of toe and foot. You can take anti inflammatory drug course meanwhile result of x ray come.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami
