How To Treat Bruise And Weakness In Knees After Injury?

Hello,I fell.On my knee about 5 weeks ago with my knee cap going directly into cement. My knee did bruise some, but tried to kneel down tonight and I still can t put a lot of weight on it. I can walk fine, just very tender. Do you recommend just waiting a little bit longer to heel or should I go get it checked out? (I probably should of just got it checked out to begin with).

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Since the injury occurred 5 weeks ago and you are still having limited movement and pain, it would be best to see your doctor for an assessment.

This would include physical examination and likely imaging of the knee to look for any damage.

The treatment may vary according to what is found but pain killers would likely be given along with any other treatment measure.

I hope this helps
