How To Treat Bruise On The Wrist?

i broke my wrist about 5 or 6 years ago and the doctor fixed it wrong. i now have a big bruise on my wrist. i tried to remember if i hit anything last night but i dont think i did. it wasnt there when i went to bed but when i woke there was a big bruise. is this something i should worry about and go have looked at or should i not worry at all?
