How To Treat Bumps On Fingers And Feet Following A Throat Infection?

Hello, a few days ago I had a fever of 39.7 and my temperature dropped and rose over the period of a couple days. The doctor told me i had a throat infection and prescribed clarithromycin. Today, I woke up with a swollen toe (pinky) on my left foot as well as many small red bumps on my feet and fingers. Both the toe and bumps are quite painful. What do I do to get rid them?
