Hello,

Pulmonary fibrosis is a disease when the lungs are damaged and scarred. As a consequence, this thick pulmonary tissue makes it difficult for your lungs to work properly. It is often associated with lung infections, and as the fibrosis worsens, the worst scenario is lung thrombus (blood clot). He requires immediate medical assistance. If cannot send to see pulmonologist, you can send to ER as fast as you can. He might need oxygen therapy. You should get him checked by his caring doctor.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
