My daughter was diagnosed 9 days ago with strep throat. The doctor prescribed Cefdinir 300mg and Ciprofloxacin 500mg plus gave her a penicillin shot. After 5 days still running fever and not felling any better. By the way she is 24yrs old. She went to emergency room on the 6 day and Dr. Told her she had an inflamed esophagus and dehydrated. Put her on IV fluids. Told her to stop taking previous antibiotics and started her on amoxicillin and prednisone. He said antibiotics too strong causing the inflammation in her esophagus and they were not helping the strep. She is feeling a bit better but has pain in middle chest when she tries to eat soft foods. Now after seeing ENT we are having tonsils removed in 2 weeks. Would aloe Vera juice help the burning esophagus now and during her healing after tonsillectomy?
