Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Is the pain related to exertion or deep breathing? Any palpitation or cough? Chest pain can be from other causes as well, like pleural inflammation following respiratory infection / flu, chest wall inflammation etc. If not associated with palpitation, and pain is not related to exertion, we need not worry much now. Try taking Acetaminophen for 3 days. If pain is not coming down, we can evaluate further.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
