How To Treat Chiari Type 1 Malformation Of 8mm ?

I have been diagnosed with chiari type 1 malformation of 8mm. I continue to have burning pain in the back of my skull. More on the left side of my head with some pain or numbness in to my left ear. My neurologist doesn't seem concerned and is treating me for tension headaches. should I seek a second opinion
