How To Treat Chocking Sensation In Throat?

My husband says he feels as though some medicine he took is stuck in his throat. He is trying to cough it out of the throat. It could be in his windpipe, he isn t sure. It would be a pill or maybe more, since he likes to take his pills together. I am concerned that he should not lie flat in bed, as we were in bed trying to sleep.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi, thanks for your query. If medicines enters the wind pipe he has immediate choking . If he is not choking then not to worry. Food stuck in food pipe usually is seen through an endoscope. Kindly consult with the doctor and get evaluated.
