Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I'm thirteen years old, my name is Ivy. I suffer from chronic depression and i've been diagnosed suicidal. I'm very mature for my age, but suffer from self-mutilation like my father. I've been sexually assaulted, verbally, mentally, and emoitionally abused and I just found out my boyfriend of 72 months broke up with me. I can't talk to my mom about it, she didn't know. I can't stop crying, nor can I breathe. Any advice, I'm trying to calm down.
I went through your details. You should be able to distinguish between disappointment and depression. Disappointment also brings on symptoms identical to depression but they are short lived including suicidal thoughts. but these symptoms are short lived.
You are worried about your boy friend at the age of 13 instead of worrying and being serious about your studies and other career related activities. You say you ar depressed chronically. Yes. That is it. Chronic depression is actually disappointment. Just forget what happened. You will come out of the disappointment eventually. Concentrate on your education. Play games. Be a good teenager.
