How To Treat Chronic Pain In Hip And Flank Of Back?

Hi, I have chronic pain in my right hip and the right flank of my back whenever I have to urinate, this causes me to barely make it to the bathroom as it is urgent. I had a medical procedure when I was very young for chronic uti infections from a genetic abnormality. Please let me know your suggestions. I am currently taking amoxycillin for a different issue unrelated to this problem but I figured if it was a urinary tract infection, the antibiotic would have solved it right? Thankyou.for your help

Hello,

I think this can be related to urinary tract infection or stones. Amoxicillin usually doesn't work well on urinary tract infection. You may need to do an uroculture to find the right antibiotic which works best for it. Also, you may need to do an ultrasound to check for stones.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
