How To Treat Compulsive Over Eating?

My brother in law is a compulsive over eater and has a side tray of seasoned and processed food to feed his mini schnauzer s. One dog has horrible itching and licking. One is freq incontinent. We got him to stop for a month and Abby s itching improved. How can we get him to stop?

Your brother in law needs to recognize that he has an problem and its affecting not only himself but his pets. This is harmful. It may be a suggestion to meet as a family and discuss your concerns with him. He may be placing himself at a high health risk (if overweight or obese) and decreasing his life expectancy. If you are close to him, please speak about it as he needs help.
