How To Treat Constant Food And Saliva Choking Along With Left Sided Neck Hurting?

Hi, Female, 38 years old. I constantly choke on my food and saliva. Also in the the afternoon and night I feel cramping in my stomach the top part of it. I aften feel like if I am choking. I get dizzy a whole lot and shakey. about a one month ago I got really sick and couldn t stop coughing for a long time. ever since then I have been feeling very cold. My left side of my neck has been hurting for 1 year now. DON T KNOW WHAT TO DO. :/

Hello,
Welcome to HCM,
Your symptoms are in favor of esophageal diverticula. There are many types of diverticula.
Most of the diverticula are asymptomatic where as the Zenker diverticula are the most common type to cause symptoms.
These are an acquired pulsion type of diverticula that probably develop because of the aging process. They form in the posterior hypopharynx at a point where a defect in the posterior muscular wall.
I would suggest you to consult ENT surgeon, because you may require barium swallow and endoscopy for confirming the diagnosis.
