How To Treat Constant Mucus Build Up In Throat Along With White Pockets And Hoarse Voice?
HI, my name is krystena and I just turned 22. I have been experiencing constant mucus build up in my throat along with white pockets (tonsil stones?) forming everyday. I push them out because it gives me really bad breath and I can feel them build up in my throat. Some times they build up so much that they come out on their own. I also have a hoarse voice which I never had when I was younger. I do not have swollen lymph nodes or a sore throat but it is very strange considering I am in excellent health and have a very, very good diet. I was reading online that it could potentially be tonsillitis but I wasn't sure.
The symptoms mentioned in your post suggests that you might be having Chronic Tonsillitis. Examination of the throat using a laryngoscope will be helpful in clinching the diagnosis.
Management consists of: 1. Gargle with warm salt water to relieve throat pain. 2. Analgesics like paracetamol 3. Antibiotics depending upon culture & sensitivity reports to remove the causative organism. 4. Antihistamine preparations can also be used to provide symptomatic relief. If symptoms still persist...it will be better to consult an ENT specialist. Meanwhile...avoid taking cold food & drinks, maintain adequate hydration & take soft, non-spicy foods.
There is no need to worry...you will be fine. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Take care.
