How To Treat Constipation And Stomach Bloating?

Hello, my 20 year old daughter is constipated, bloated and gassy the last 3 weeks and a few days ago had a very sharp pain that lasted 2 minutes. The only time she has a bowel movement (2x per week) is when she runs, then she can barely get to the bathroom in time. She s overthinking things and thinks she s lactose intolerant or that she has something worse. Any advice would help.

Hi there.

Thanks for the query.

It appears that she has lactose intolerance, Irritable bowel syndrome.

Frequent loose bowel motion especially after meals and abdominal pain is a feature.

Kindly avoid giving her milk, gluten rich food, fatty, oily food, junk food, colas.

Let her costume food rich in fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables, nuts, eggs.

Keep her well hydrated.

Kindly get her seen by a Gastroenterologist for a proper suraksha and specific treatment.

Thanking you.

Regards,

Dr. Aashish Raghu
