How To Treat Constipation In A Baby?

hi Dr how r u?i ask one thing my baby 1.5 mnth old and she did n t pass potty for 7 days n 10 days this prob started 15may n m given the suppository but this is not the solution plzhelp me outm giving also gripe water n infacol also but it s not working

Hi,

Actually breast milk would solve the problem gradually. Babies on top feed mostly suffer from this problem. If the baby is comfortable without motion for a week and the following motion is smooth, and normal. There is no need to worry. As the feeding dose increases, it would be set right. You can try syrup of fig 5-10 drops with warm water for babies below 3 months in prescribed dose.
