Hi All day today (Sunday) I have had this aching/ cramping sensation mostly in my vagina but also in my lower abdomen. Its been mostly while urinating but its now also happening while I'm not urinating. It's a sort of ache in my abdomen and It does feel like I have to urinate more often than I usually do.
(I had protected sex twice saturday night/morning and I hadn't had sex before that since November - with the same guy. I am also on the pill)
Hi ! Good evening. I am Dr Shareef answering your query.
Possibly you might be having a urinary tract/pelvic infection as you are sexually active. However, I would also advise you for a serum HCG, and an ultrasound abdomen in addition to the routine urine and culture sensitivity test to rule out pregnancy as pills are not a 100% guarantee against pregnancy. Further management would depend on the reports of investigations.
I hope this information would help you in discussing with your family physician/treating doctor in further management of your problem. Please do not hesitate to ask in case of any further doubts. Thanks for choosing health care magic to clear doubts on your health problems. Wishing you an early recovery. Dr Shareef.
