hi doctor i want to know about dangue treatment and how can platlets can improve in this .
can u please tell me about treatment of dangue because i am not effected person he is my brother in pakistan and i am in saudia.his platlets were improving the day before yestday but today there is no improvement plz help me.

Hello dear,

The treatment of dengue is symptomatic.

1. Fever is taken care by anti pyretics like Paracetamol
2. Platelet count can be improved by platelet transfusion
3. Adequate hydration status to be maintained by administration of fluid.
4. Plasma transfusion to be done in severe cases.
