How To Treat Depression And Inferiority Complex?

I have an acquaintance who seems to be depressed and seems to suffer from inferiority complex ,which is leading to his sadistic nature .off late he has become very sadistic resulting in annoying all around him . I want to take him to a psychiatrist but he refuses .how can I convince him to get his checkup done for his betterment .
