A lot of individuals suffer from depressive symptoms but if these symptoms remain pervasive and persistent then they are labelled as suffering from depressive disorders. He has been having these symptoms since last 2 months so need proper treatment. Please consult a good psychiatrist for treatment and evaluation. If he is not getting ready then visit him and try to request him for evaluation and treatment.

Treatment in form of antidepressants and psychological methods is available. Medicines like SSRIs are commonly used in depression. Cognitive therapy is a method that has very high success rate in depression. Consult a psychiatrist for details of treatment.
