Hello,

It sounds like your skin is experiencing some irritation and dryness from using the Skinlite cream. Here are some tips to help soothe and heal your skin:
* Stop using the Skinlite cream: This cream contains a combination of hydroquinone, tretinoin, and mometasone. Tretinoin and hydroquinone can be irritating to the skin, especially if used for a long time. Mometasone is a steroid that can also cause skin thinning and irritation with prolonged use. So, it's best to stop using this cream.
* Use a gentle cleanser: Use a mild, non-irritating cleanser to wash your face twice a day. Avoid using hot water as it can further dry out your skin.
* Moisturize: Apply a moisturizer that is specifically formulated for sensitive skin to hydrate your skin and lock in moisture. You can apply it twice a day, after cleansing your face.
* Apply a cold compress: If your skin is red and irritated, you can apply a cold compress to help reduce inflammation and soothe your skin.
* Avoid sun exposure: UV radiation from the sun can further damage your skin, so it's best to avoid direct sun exposure. Wear a hat and use sunscreen with at least SPF 30 whenever you go outside.
* Be patient: It may take some time for your skin to heal completely. Be patient and follow a good skincare routine.

If your skin is still dry and irritated, you can also consult a dermatologist who can recommend a gentle moisturizer or a prescription cream to soothe your skin.

Hello,

Avoid hot showers/bath. To reddish, dry skin that becomes itchy, you may apply a lotion with hydrocortisone in it. Wash your face twice a day and be gentle. Use a gentle, alcohol-free, nonfoaming cleanser. Products with stearic acid (found in shea butter) can help repair your skin. Avoid products that contain sodium lauryl sulfate, which is drying agent.

Always apply moisturizers when the face is wet, herbal moisturizers are effective, Look for fragrance-free moisturizers that don't cause acne (noncomedogenic) and don't contain allergy-causing substances (hypoallergenic). Use a room humidifier. Indoor air that is hot and dry can parch skin that is sensitive and worsen itching and flaking.

Redness of the skin caused by dryness will get healed as the skin is taken care of. Applying a thin layer of Cetaphil's redness relieving products is also effective. You should choose thicker, oil based moisturizers for winters and lighter weight picks for summers.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
