How To Treat Ear Blockages And Pain?
Hello Dr, I am 34 years old, female and I need a quick fix for now as I cannot get into see a doc atm. My ears play up all the time, lots of wax, lots of blockages, really bad on landing of flights unless i take some sort of decongestant or nasal spray. I just recently had a horrible head cold but today I have woken with a blocked right ear its swollen on the inside it hurts to touch my ear or lay on it, I also noticed this morning I have a huge gland swollen below the sore ear, that is also sore. Is there anything I can do to ease the pain or get from the local pharmacy.. (drops, pain killers,or natural remedies)

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
You are having an otitis externa. This is infection of the ear canal. You can start an antibiotic tablet Augmentin. Start an anti-allergic tablet Levocetirizine. For pain management take Paracetamol tablet, give hot fomentation over the ear. Don't let water enter into ear.
